Snuffed
We've recently relaxed our strict No Snuffy Upstairs policy, which is too bad because it was one of the few things he was really well trained to do. Or not do, I suppose. This policy, originally instated in 2005, was designed to protect my sensitive nose from the myriad and varied allergens that cling to the dog's shaggy coat. However, the ruling powers recently re-evaluated the need for such a policy, weighing my potential snot production against Snuffy's anguish at being left out during Dylan's nightly bedtime extravaganza, traditionally held upstairs. Since enforcement has been loosened, Snuffy has taken every opportunity to explore! upstairs! This has so far not been a problem except for a few key instances of distracting a baby nearing sleep from actually falling asleep (eye on the prize, Dylan). The real problem has been that Aaron and I are total suckers for having Snuffy sleep in the bed with us, despite there not actually being room for all three of us. We are willing to contort ourselves quite a bit to accomodate him, but he still got kicked out around 5:00am this morning when he stretched himself out over 80% of my body.
