We've had a months-long running conversation with Dylan re: lying vs. joking vs. being mistaken. She's got the idea, but there's some nuance here, and she seizes upon instances of uncertainty with great vigor. "I said I washed my hands after I went potty even though I didn't but I was JUST JOKING. [gets glared at] Now I will go wash my hands."
She also finds mistakes on our part to be very helpful, conceptually. "Mommy! You thought I would be with the same swim teacher today but I was with a different one. You MADE A MISTAKE!"
I mentioned this to Gillian who looked at me like, don't you remember? And she was right. We had this conversation with Tommy for about 10 years. We won't even get into the viking ship incident.

It's only a matter of time before she starts complaining about being DELIBERATELY DYED (hi Tommy!) :)
Oh my gosh! I remember going through this with Genna! Too funny!
I recall conspiring to deliberately deceive Tommy?
That's a big yes to the (ongoing) conspiracy.
